‘John Huddleston’s Story
John Huddleston is a proud native of Monroe County and a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. With a deep-rooted connection to the community, John has witnessed firsthand the changes that have shaped the area over the years. His roots run deep in Middle Smithfield Township, where he spent much of his youth and returned just four years ago to continue making a positive impact.
After graduating summa cum laude from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management (HRTM), John’s career path led him to a diverse set of roles across several industries. From his beginnings as a ski instructor at Shawnee Mountain and Fernwood Resort, to working in retail management for companies like Weis Markets, The Fresh Market, and HEB Texas, John’s experience in leadership, human resources, and operations has honed his skills to manage complex systems with precision.
John is currently working as a Store General Manager with Weis Markets in Hamlin, PA, where he continues to apply his strong leadership principles, operational expertise, and drive for excellence.
Having worked in various communities throughout the country, including Flower Mound, TX, Jacksonville, FL, Virginia Beach, VA, and West Dover, VT, John brings a wealth of knowledge and insight into how communities thrive. Now, John is ready to channel that experience into a new role: Supervisor of Middle Smithfield Township.
With nearly 30 years of experience in customer service, operations, and community engagement, John’s commitment to making Middle Smithfield a better place for all its residents is steadfast. He believes in modernizing the township’s systems for efficiency, transparency, and inclusivity.
